General Assembly (UNGA)

Basic facts:
- Location : UN HQ in New York City, NY, USA
- One country, one vote; most evident sovereign equality of all members
- Major Tasks: primary forum for discussion and debate, determine the budget, "non-pressing" issues like writing recommendations regarding issues like climate change and protection of human rights (UNGA resolutions), appoints the non-permanent members of the UNSC, establishment of subcommittees, receives reports from other organs and UN-affiliated organizations for discussion and debate
